What??

The Republican'ts play rowdy, fast, abrasive punk rock. The lyrical content of the songs are are sometimes satirical in nature, and usualy have somesort of message. For example, the song Punk In A Can, "Punk in a can, corperate spam, easy access middle class glam". This song reflects the bands contempt towards establishments that exploit punk rock by conning people into buying mass produced "Anarchy Gear" or other "traditional punk paraphanlia". (Anarchy for sale! Tee-shirts only 10 dollars, patches only $3.50! - Dead Kennedys) If you want to wear spiked bracelets, then make them your self. Dont dish out 10 bucks to the "Anarchy Store".

We recently got to play at the "Westminster Punk-Fest" at Chris Lowes house on June 6th. (many many thanks to chris for inviting us, and holding the show). It was a prety damn good show. We played with Active Sac, 4 Inches Short, 7 ate 9, Counter Attack and umm some other new bands I can't remember the names of.(sorry) It was a prety good show all-in-all. We played well, plus there were a good number of people there. Our main man Josh reviewed some of our other shows

These were recorded on a normal tape recorder, sitting outside the door of our practice area, hence the sound quality leaves much to be desired. Also, these musical tid-bits were from the early days of The Republican'ts, so the musicianship leaves much to be desired as well.

To stay informed of up coming shows in the area, Email Us your name and mailing adress. Every now and then we send out flyer's for shows, stickers, propaganda, newsletters, info on records, and other assorted crap. This is also a handy way of finding out show dates for other bands as well, seeing as how we normaly play with a few other good bands. btw, stamps are expensive(especialy when you have a large mailing list) so if you want, you can send a stamp and make everything alot easier, or send us your name and adress and on your envolope, cover the stamp with a thin layer of clear wax. then we'll scrape off the wax, thus removing the cancel stamp, and we'll send you stuff with your own stamp. dont get caught. If you prefer email over snail mail, then use ourE-mailing list. Of course, you wont get nearly as much shit as people who use real mail, but you'll be able to stay relativly upto date on band activities.
